Involved in the wine industry since 1993, Roderick Wong was the Founder & President of the Sommelier Association of Malaysia from 2009 till 2015, Former Chairman of the South East Asia Sommelier Alliance in 2012, Wine Personality Of The Year Award 2007 / 2008 by Hospitality Asia Platinum Award (HAPA), appointed The Honorary Ambassador of Wines From Spain to Malaysia, and recipient of the Honorary Sommelier Diploma and Membership with Associazione della Sommellerie Professionale Italiana (ASPI) by Mr. Giuseppe Vaccarini - Founder & President of ASPI & Best Sommelier of World. Roderick has been a Sommelier since 2005, starting as Chief Sommelier and today holds the role of Cellar Master aka Wine Director. He has been a judge in Wine Style Asia - Singapore (2008 - 2010), Culinaire Malaysia (2009 to 2013), Mondial du Pinot Noir 2010 in Switzerland, Singapore National Sommelier Competition (2010 & 2012), panel judge in the Semi Finals of The Best Sommelier of The World 2013 in Tokyo & Technical Director of the Young Macau Sommelier Competition 2015 in Macau.

Roderick looks to bring ‘.. .an opinion of the Asian palate and hopefully to bring more awareness of this competition in Macau."
