A master mixologist from Japan, Masayuki started his bartending career in 2000. Along the way, he has shaken and stirred some of the finest cocktails in Ginza’s famous bar scene. Rising through the ranks, he was formerly the head bartender of Yu-Zen Oriental Sake Bar. In 2007, he moved to Hong Kong, bringing with him Japan’s famous Ginza-style bartending culture which is synonymous with top-class service and meticulous attention to detail in every drink which was to become the blueprint for the chain of Butler bars. In 2011, the first Butler Cocktail Bar opened in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui bar district and four years’ later, the Butler Whisky Bar followed in 2015. A regular feature in the World’s Best Bars list, Butler’s success and popularity have seen the addition of two more Butler bars – the Bar Butler Ginza in 2017 and Butler The Japanese Bar in Moscow this year.
